I write this review as a student, not a parent/guardian, though I do wish you hear me out on my opinions on this school.I am or was apart of the Renaissance program and through my experience I have been able to say this: this school has little to no clue how gifted students work and their needs, and in this incompetence, they hire teachers with little to no clue how to teach kids, let alone gifted ones.

I can go on and on about my overall nightmare experience but this is enough to know about this school. Kids here constantly get in trouble and in the classroom they treat the teachers like they are just there babysitters.Learning - With the all of the distractions it is very had to learn in my perspective.Teaching - For all of the hard work of becoming a teacher they don’t pay you as well especially paras (look it up).Social-emotional support - my mental health was really bad I was crying a lot and didn’t want to eat and felt like everyone was against me.Special Education - Bullies are also in the special education classes because they were acting out in class and didn’t want to do any work.Safety - There are these mini “fights” at recess where they have to go to the principals office in which they just keep them there.Family engagement - Not a lot of parents are on top of there kids learning and behavior so they just let them distract the class and bully others.Overall - On top of that they have a renaissance program and make this school a “STEM academy” just so they can look good. Classroom - majority of the teachers here aren’t that nice and don’t really care. The award is valid for four years.I was a current student here but now a online high school student, I am going to be sharing my experience as a ex student here at Canyon Springs STEM Academy in which Experience - two of my years was pretty bad experience here I have gotten publicly humiliated by one of teachers because I couldn’t do a thing correctly.Community - my “friends” were all backstabbers so I had no friends.
